FD : London Fashion Weekend...25th February 2012

Can't believe it's over already and can't wait for September to experience the magic again.....
Ah, the more I go the more I want to go and the more the LFWE grows up to make us Fashion Addicted so happy we don't want to leave the more I want to stay......

The location itself, London+Somerset House, makes it even more magical and believe you me when I say I wanted to lock myself in the catwalk tent and never leave!!!!

Unlike the past years I've decided to go on a Saturday this year, and ouch, wasn't one of the best choices. Too crowded, to many queues and unfortunately because of that I didn't have the chance to go through all the fantastic stands they had this year....I've missed the Shoes Studio that was right on the Embankment entrance and I can't forgive myself for that!!!!
Anyways, it was worth being there no matter what I've missed.

Show Bag and goodies :
The Show Bag this year was designed by Holly Fulton and you can actually tell from the gorgeous bright colour that was chosen and from the print design

take a look at her SS12 collection to enjoy her genius to the fullest.

Goody bag was filled with all sorts of goodies from the sponsors and a copy of Elle Magazine UK, February issue with my beloved Alexa Chung on the cover. If you didn't secure your copy while buying the ticket you can still buy the magazine during the event.

Showspace :
at the main entrance from The Strand you can find the "ShowSpace" where you can attend catwalks, where Elizabeth Arden has a corner with free seminars with make up suggestions ( this season trend is the Tulip Lipstick.....get yours asap!!!!! ) and a make up area where you can have your make up done but the talented make up artists of EA. Products from the line are also available for purchase.

London Fashion Week's hair stylist Tony&Guy also have a stand in here and you can try the latest trends on hairdos, this year trends are the Bun, the Fishtail Plait ( amazing ) and the always neat and fantastic Pony Tail. Tony&Guy also have a Saloon during the 3 days of the event and if you're lucky enough to have booked beforehand you can have your hair styled by the Fashion Hair Guru.

Catwalk :
Miss Molly at Mandy Coakley styled this year's catwalks and the whole show was fantastic.
We saw catwalks from : Holly Fulton then "Prim Rose" with a selection of clothing from Twenty8Twelve and a vintage selection from Shikasuki Vintage then Antipodium, then "Game on" with a selection of sporty mix from Beyond Retro - Twenty8Twelve - Katmakonie and then last but not least from Jasper Conran who's been awarded in 2011 by the Condé Nast Traveller  with the Innovation & Design Award for 'Style on the Move' with Tripp Luggage.....amazing collection I must say!!!

Shopping :
How can you possibly go away from this "Wonderland" without treating yourself with a vintage piece, beauty products or trendy clothes and accessories all with major discounts.
More than 100 brands all there to satisfy your cravings, beautifully exposed all around the Somerset House.
I personally went home with a tee from Twenty8Twelve, the Elizabeth Arden 8 hours package and few other trinkets I CAN'T just live without.
While shopping you can also indulge yourself with a snack and a cup of coffee or if you chose the VIP Package you can be spoilt with a glass of champagne and few other tasty treats ( front row catwalk included).

London :
And of course London, you have the greatest of times smelling fashion all round and then knackered you exit on the terrace for a breathe of fresh air and you bump into London, what else do you need?

Marble Arch and view from Waterloo Bridge

View from the Somerset House Terrace - Embankment
Every time when I reach the exit gates I can't believe how fast time have passed and wish I could go back and do everything all over again.
We just have to wait for the next event...so watch this space for updates, general announcements and few other news on the LFWE or visit London Fashion Weekend....don't you dare miss it!!!!!
